15 halloween decor

I have been working on my small entryway decor since I shared my fall decor with you a couple weeks ago.

I just love how it came together! I am going to share a few tips that helped me pull it all together.

I started by creating a small gallery wall. I have never done a gallery wall before so I was a little nervous.

I started by laying everything out on the floor and moved things around until I liked it.

I also took a picture of it with my phone so I could refer back to it when I hung everything up.

1. Choose a theme for your Halloween decor

There are so many different directions you can take when it comes to Halloween decor.

You can go the spooky route, the gory route, the kid-friendly route, the vintage route, or the chic and modern route. The possibilities are endless!

If you’re feeling overwhelmed, start by choosing a color scheme for your decor.

Black and white, orange and green, and purple and black are all popular Halloween color combos.

Then, you can decide on a theme based on those colors.

2. Use Halloween string lights to create a festive atmosphere

String lights are a simple way to add a touch of Halloween to any space.

You can use them to line a walkway, drape them over a mantle, or even put them in a glass vase for a fun, glowing centerpiece.

There are so many different types of Halloween string lights to choose from, so you can really get creative with how you use them.

Try some classic orange and purple lights, or go for something a little more unexpected, like these adorable ghost lights.

If you’re looking for a way to add some spooky ambiance to your home this Halloween, you can’t go wrong with a few strings of lights!

3. Decorate your front door with a Halloween wreath

A Halloween wreath is a perfect way to welcome guests and trick-or-treaters to your home.

These festive wreaths are just like a traditional Christmas wreath, but with a Halloween twist.

You can find Halloween wreaths with pumpkins, ghosts, spiders, and more.

You can even make your own! Check out our list of easy DIY Halloween wreaths.

4. Add some Halloween decorations to your mantel

If you have a fireplace mantel, you can create a Halloween-themed mantel-scape to add some spooky style to your living room.

This is a great way to decorate for Halloween without having to make too many changes to the rest of your living room decor.

For example, you can keep your existing decor and simply add a few Halloween decorations, or you can create a whole new look by pairing your Halloween mantel with a few coordinating throw pillows and a cozy throw blanket.

5. Create a spooky Halloween tablescape

This is one of the easiest ways to decorate for Halloween, and it can be as simple or as elaborate as you like.

You can create a Halloween tablescape on a small table in your entryway, a coffee table, or your dining room table.

To create a Halloween tablescape, you’ll want to layer in a few key elements:

• A table runner, tablecloth, or placemats

• A centerpiece

• Candlesticks or candle holders

• Vases

• Pumpkins or other seasonal decor

• Spooky elements like skeletons, skulls, or spiders

Don’t be afraid to mix in some of your everyday decor, like vases, candlesticks, and platters.

I used a few of my favorite blue and white pieces in my Halloween tablescape to give it a bit of a sophisticated, yet spooky vibe.

6. Light some Halloween candles

If you’re not into the whole “scary” thing, you can still get in the Halloween spirit with some festive candles.

Bath and Body Works always has a great selection of Halloween scents and you can even get a little spooky with your candle holders.

7. Don’t forget the kids when it comes to Halloween decor

If you have kids, you’ll definitely want to include them in the decorating process. Let them help you pick out some fun decorations for the house and yard.

From inflatables to window clings to spooky lights, there are tons of options when it comes to decorating for Halloween.

The more you involve the kids, the more fun you’ll have!

Conclusion

That’s all for now! I hope you found some inspiration from these cute halloween decor ideas. I can’t wait to see what you come up with this year! I hope you have a safe and happy Halloween!
